The challenge of innovation within organisations
Innovation initiatives often do not deliver their promise. Often the problem lies in managing the different culture needed to deliver innovation consistently.
In this section, we present ideas from two leaders in the field of innovation. In section 1, we present material from Alex Osterwalder who illustrates one management model for incorporating effective innovation into an organisation.
In section 2, we draw on the work of Vijay Govindarajan and his Three Box Solution that can be the basis for an innovation strategy in organisations.
The two models are very similar and recognise the challenge of managing innovation to bring effective and enduring change to an organisation.
